Invitational Week 11, plus the Czar & Empress on a podcast!
Send us an AI-created picture -- and listen to Season 3 of You're Invited

Last week’s Invitational contest looked back to the Invite’s infancy, offering you a chance to enter any of 40 of our contests from 1993. This week, we ask you for something we couldn’t have imagined 30 years ago: Ask the AI tool Dall-E 2 to generate a picture, and send us the funniest results — up to 10 of them. You can enhance the humor with a funny description, title, etc. It’s easy to do; we’ll explain how. Deadline for Week 11 is Saturday afternoon, March 25. And we also have dozens of winning pangrams of movie titles (i.e., they use all the same letters, but sometimes more than once). Like this one from Jesse Frankovich: THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS > THE MISCHIEF OF THE CANNIBAL: Hannibal Lecter has a DoorDash guy de-livered. And of course, there’s the usual Q&A to and from Gene, and even some from Pat.
And! YOU’RE INVITED, the podcast about all things Invitational, is back for Season 3 with host Mike Gips chatting for a half-hour with both Czar Gene Weingarten and Empress Pat Myers about the contest’s new incarnation, how they’ve been working together, and their individual favorites among the Week 9 movie title pangrams whose results run this week. (Hint: One of them preferred a joke involving, um, an NSFW term.) And much haha over Mike’s Dall-E-generated picture of the three of us:
